Albion secure promotion

ALBION secured promotion to the North West Men’s League Division One with an excellent victory against Leigh Miners on Saturday.
Latchford dominated the early stages and were rewarded when Martin Whitehead crossed from dummy half.
The hosts’ defence was also on top and this was rewarded when Latchford forced an error for Craig Woolvine scored under the posts.
Dobson converted both for a 12-0 lead at half time.
An early try from Leigh reduced the deficit and shortly after Lewis Wightman crossed in the corner, Miners hit back with a second try.
Latchford regained control and Craig Middlemore and Dave Levenston both scored to secure the win.
