WOOLSTON Rovers A suffered a narrow 22-34 defeat against league leaders Wigan St Patricks A in the North West Men’s League Division Two on Saturday, just a week after the same side beat them 76-10.
Rovers promoted some promising youth players for the clash and it was 16-year-old debutant Callum Moore who got the side’s opening try.
Martin Ball, Danny Brown, and Dan Fearnley also went over for Rovers but the home side just fell short.
