Unbeaten Bye sees side home
GRAPPENHALL thirds have moved above Nantwich into fifth in the league after a close-fought win in Cheshire County Third XI Premier Division on Sunday.
Nantwich posted a good total of 182 for 7 in their 45 overs, leaving Grappenhall needing a good chase.
Grappenhall’s opener Rob Slater, 58, got the team off to a solid run-chase before Jamie Bye, 72 not out, and Arthur Pennington, 26 not out, saw the side home in the penultimate over.
