WARRINGTON Public Parks’ Bowls League’s finals day at Bewsey Park concluded with victories for the St Elphins, Penketh and Stockton Heath clubs.

Derek Gorton took the man-of-the-match award as St Elphins lifted the Ivan Rutter Parks’ Challenge Cup, beating Victoria New Town 185-135.

Graham Cowell secured the highest margin of victory, winning 21-6 late on.

It was a tighter affair in the Supplementary Challenge Cup, Penketh squeezing past Victoria 184-179 with man-of-the-match Ron Clarke’s 21-9 success helping.

Erice Lafferty’s 21-10 card was key, with Ron Jones the only other Heath winner in the match.
