WOOLSTON Rovers are hoping to end a five-game losing streak when they face unbeaten league leaders Featherstone Lions in the Kingstone Press National Conference League Division Three on Saturday.

Due to Warrington Wolves being in the Tetley’s Challenge Cup semi final later in the afternoon, the kick off has been brought forward to 12 noon at Monks Sports Club.

Admission is £2 for adults, £1 for concessions and juniors are free.

Head coach Lee Westwood said: “It has been a tough couple of months for us, we have not played anywhere near what we are capable of and have deservedly lost our last five league games.

“We need to stop the rot as soon as possible and the game against Featherstone would be a fantastic time to do that.

“We know it is going to be a tough ask as they have won all of their games so far but that is a great incentive for our lads to put an end to their record and get ourselves back in contention for a play-off place.”

Rovers A face Portico Vine in the NWML Division Two on Saturday, but it may be brought forward to Friday if Portico agree to the switch.

Any old or new players who would like to be involved at Rovers please contact Club Secretary Nikki Whalley on 07889 170895 or e-mail woolstonroversrl@hotmail.co.uk for further details.
