A SUCCESSFUL outing at the first session of the Cheshire County Relay Championships saw Warrington Athletics Club return with four titles.

In the under 17s girls’ 4x100m and medley events with a squad of Alice Clare, Carys McAulay, Lizzie Smith and Ellie Baker in 50.9secs and 2mins 32.7secs respectively.

The under 17s also took the 3x800m title with Kiera Grady, Vicky Ramsbottom and Sarah McGrail in 7mins 27.7secs.

The under 15s girls 3x800m team of Amy Gibbons, Lauren Ferris and Melissa Boyer took gold in 7mins 28.4secs.

There was also success for the under 15s in the 4x100m, where a team of Lara Spiteri, Joanna Ravenscroft, Hannah Shaw and Ellie Hough took silver in 54.8secs.

The B team of Kate McMahon, Charlotte Robinson, Victoria Tipping and Lauren Bond finished sixth in 59secs.

Warrington also enjoyed two bronze medal finishes, the under 15s medley team of Ravenscroft, Spiteri, Shaw and Goddard in 2mins 45.1secs.

The other came for the under 15s boys’ 3x800m team of Daniel Fox, Sam Rostron and Jack Stubbings in 6mins 51.5secs.

The under 15s 4x100m team of James Dykes, Jamie Picket, Ethan Baird and Fisayo Williamson-Taylor finished fifth in 53.1secs.
