TETLEYS B did the business again.

They won 11-4 at St Oswalds B to remain top of Warrington and North Cheshire Bowls Association’s Knox and Son Friday League Section B.

Bill Williams, 21-6, and M Bramhall, 21-8, were shining lights, as was John Bradbury with 21-6 in reply.

King and Queen B defeated Alford B 11-3, with Colin Deakin, 21-6, Dave Thompson and Mark Pearson, both 21-8, setting the standard. Geoff Hughes replied with a 21-11 card.

Wins from Paddy Birmingham, 21-5, and Charlie Grimes, 21-10, helped Bulls Head A to a 10-5 success at GESM A, where Brian Fox took the home sweep, 21-6.

In Section C, Penketh Park defeated Cadishead Cons 10-4, with Gary Webb, 21-11, and Mike Glass, 21-13, enjoying success. Howard McMutrie fought back with 21-6.

Wins of 21-7 from Barry France and Ken Deeley helped Padgate shut out Eagle Sports A 8-6. D Humphreys won 21-12 for Eagle.

Woolston B scored a 9-5 victory over GESM B, with Alan Holman, 21-7, and John Hawke, 21-12, their top performers. John Davies rolled out a 21-7 card in reply.

Ged Beasley, 21-8, and Graham Cowell, 21-9, were the top guns as Monks Hall won 8-7 at Orford WM B, for whom Steve Wellbelove won 21-5.

Golborne CMC stayed top of section A with a 269-260 win at Tetleys A. Peter Lindley, 21-12, and Eddie Rampling, 21-13, were the top winners. Bill Rowson won 21-4 for Tetleys.
