ST OSWALDS B are looking down on the rest again.

They are back at the summit of Warrington and North Cheshire Bowls Association’s Redline Recruitment Monday League Section A, courtesy of a 266-229 victory over St Oswalds A.

Their stand-out performer was Neil Dolan, 21-11, while Kevin Wainwright replied with a 21-7 win.

Grange A produced a 236-225 success over Grange B, Chris Ashton and Dave Bennett sharing the sweep with 21-4 cards. Dennis Brown fought back with 21-10.

Wins from Peter Cowell, 21-10, and Doug Heaton steered Tetley A to a 271-241 success at Alford Hall A, for whom Mark Ashurst shone with 21-11.

Burtonwood A achieved a 256-244 success at Grapes, with Jim Brown, 21-9, and Dave Pownall, 21-11, putting on the squeeze.

Section D leaders Monks Sports A accrued an 11-3 victory over Eagle Sports B. Keith Willcox, 21-7, and Geoff Lee, 21-13, led the way, while Phil Hamilton replied 21-11.

St Albans clocked up a 9-6 triumph at Eagle Sports A, where Rob Lawrenson, 21-7, and Chris Bradshaw, 21-8, impressed. Dave Attew won 21-6 for Eagle.

Wins from Harry Newton, 21-11, and Alan Forshaw, 21-12, guided Rylands B to a 10-5 success at Grange D, while Dave Mason took the home sweep, 21-10.

Penketh Tavern overhauled Woolston B 11-3, with Ken White, 21-4, and Gary Alcock, 21-5, in good form.

St Oswalds C moved to the top of Section E with an 11-3 victory over Culcheth B. Ken Green, 21-7, and Paul Heavie, 21-11, laid a good platform.

Richmonds A are second, their 9-6 success over Tetley C including 21-7 wins from Eric Harrison and Lol Mahoney. Tony McArron hit back with a 21-4 card.

At Bayleaf, Richmonds B scored a 9-6 win that included a 21-11 from Bernard Creaghan and 21-12 from Stuart Holt . Dave Conroy took the home sweep, 21-4.

Wins from Dave Duane, 21-5, and Dave Harrison, 21-7, steered Bulls Head B to an 11-4 win at Irish Club A, for whom Brian Worsley and Darren Hegan stood strong with 21-4 results.

Section F leaders Grange C suffered their first reverse of the season, 10-4 at Burtonwood B for whom Ron Vosper rallied with 21-5.

Second-placed Red Lion B lost 10-4 at St Patricks, for whom Dave Cunliffe, 21-5, and P McClymont, 21-8, were the leading contenders.

Wins from Eric Cooper, 21-8, and John Kent, 21-10, aided Irish Club B to an 8-7 success at Alford C, with Tony Rearden’s 21-4 putting him on the podium for the home team.
