WARRINGTON crashed out of the Cheshire Shield in the semi-final tie against Ashton on Mersey on Saturday with Ashton winning by five wickets.
Warrington found themselves 41 for 4 after 15 overs with Chris Kirby, 45, being the only top order batsman to make an impression.
It looked set to be an easy target for Ashton, before a late rally from Kyle Adams, 38, and Brendan Morris, 35, gave the home side some respectability as they were all out for 177 in the 45th over.
Kyle Adams, 3 for 31, put on a good display in the bowling attack but could not stop Ashton reaching 178 for 5.
