TONY Smith has highlighted the importance of stability at the club after six Warrington Wolves players penned contract extensions today.

Gene Ormsby and Anthony England extended their deals until November 2016, Rhys and Ben Evans and James Laithwaite until November 2017 and George King until the end of 2016.

Wolves’ head of coaching and rugby was delighted to secure the futures of six British players.

“All six have shown what capabilities they’ve got and have been performing consistently well in recent times,” said Smith.

“We are delighted to be securing their services for an extended period and feel that they will all continue to develop in the manner in which they already have in the time they’ve been with us.

“I am delighted for us to be continuing to develop these players, and others, and that we are once again showing stability within the group as that’s one of the strengths of our club.”
