CHRIS Hill is not focussed on statistics and says he just wants to play every game.
Tony Smith rested the prop on Sunday after 32 consecutive outings, but Hill says he wishes he could have played to help keep Wolves in top form.
“Joel Monaghan said that to me when they announced I was rested,” he said. “I don’t keep my eye on those stats but it had been a fair old time since I had had a rest and I didn’t want to miss that one at the weekend either.
“I’ve enjoyed playing a few more minutes this season and feel a bit fitter so I just want to be able to carry it on week in, week out.
“We’ve done it a different way, in years before we’ve started off well so hopefully we can keep this form.
“It’s a matter of working hard and keep on doing what we have over the last eight or nine weeks and carrying that into the business end of the year – the play-offs are where you want to be hitting your best form.”
