Appleton return to winning ways against Trafford
APPLETON got back to winning ways in Division One with a 145 run victory over Trafford.
Holly McCurrie, 43, and Sami Fowler, 63 not out, both recorded their best scores, which along with 86 from Emma Barlow helped Appleton to 235 for 2 off their 40 overs.
Kathryn Jackson put Trafford on the back foot, taking two wickets for five before under 13s pair Kaytlin Watterson and Olivia Horsfield claimed two wickets each and bowl out Trafford for 90 runs.
