Accrington Panthers 24 Rylands Sharks 34

RYLANDS saw off Accrington despite a late fight back in North West Men’s League Division Two on Saturday.

Gary Hewitt opened the scoring for the away side from the kick off before he extended the lead in the 15th minute with Jack Lewis converting both tries.

Accrington pulled back four points before Rylands ran riot with tries from Dave Walker, Luke Walker, and Lewis, who also added the three conversions, taking the score to a comfortable 30-4 at the break.

The Panthers looked a different side in the second period and came back with four unanswered tries and two goals to take them within six points, before Aarron Holliday went over to put the game beyond the hosts.
