MCARTHUR brothers David and Tom, from Warrington, driving identical Van Diemen LA10 cars finished second and third in their races at Oulton Park on Saturday.
Competing in the BRSCC Race Day in the Avon Tyres Formula Ford Northern Championship-Post 89, Tom and David battled it out with the lead changing hands several times over the nine-lap race one, only to narrowly beaten by Ciaran Haggerty in a Ray GR14 car.
In race two the brothers again finished second and third, beaten by Dougie Crosbie from Nantwich, who put up the fastest lap, 1:49.564, at a speed of 88.45 mph for the Oulton Park International Circuit.
