WARRINGTON Rowing Club's junior squads travelled over the Pennines to Stockton-on-Tees to compete for the first time in the club’s history at Tees regatta, with resounding success.

Tees Regatta took place on a slightly windy but beautifully sunny day, with 267 crews competing over our four-lane fully buoyed 850m course on the Barrage straight, immediately upstream from the Tees Barrage with the finishing line outside the River Tees Watersports Centre.

Warrington had nine winning crews with numerous finalist, five crews narrowly beaten into second place.

The winners were in the following events: Women's junior 16 double sculls A Division, Ellie Davies and Lucy Glover; women's junior 16 double sculls B Division, Molly Clark and Grace Rooney; women's junior 15 double sculls, Molly Clark and Ellie Davies; junior 15 single sculls, Daniel Lee; women's junior 14 double sculls, Becky Marsh and Cameron Nyland; junior 14 coxed quadruple sculls A Division, Tom Reed, Alastair Eaves, Connor Guerin, Tom Carroll, cox Holly Jordan; junior 14 coxed quadruple sculls B Division, Jack Bennett, Louis Molloy, Kian Turner, Oliver Houghton, cox Jonathan Acton; junior 14 single sculls, Alastair Eaves; junior 14 double sculls, Jonathan Acton and Oliver Houghton.

The Warrington crews were competing in preparation for the National Schools’ Regatta, which takes place at the National Watersports Centre, Holme Pierrepont near Nottingham.
