TONY Tomlinson was edged into second place in both of Fiddler’s Ferry Sailing Club’s events in their ‘Push the Boat Out Regatta’ at The Lock.
He helmed his falcon Tommohawk 44 to runners-up spot in Saturday’s Shiloh Decanter Race, missing out to laser 156632 with Alan Dodd in charge.
Richard Whitehead was third from a five-boat field in Harpie 47, another falcon boat.
Reece Tomlinson took the honours in laser 189184 in the bigger Kelsall Trophy Race, while Ian Reading was third from a field of 17 in falcon Harris Hawk 64.
The regatta presented an opportunity for potential sailors to give the sport a try and to watch race action.
