WARRINGTON’S Peter Higton finished in a podium position twice in his first two races of 2014 on Sunday at Oulton Park.
Higton turned out in his 1800cc MG F sports car and finished second in his first race starting from fourth position on the grid.
The race to the finish came down to a tight four-way tussle with Higton delighted to have come out with second place.
Higton started from third in the second race and managed to gain a place up to second after three laps before being forced to surrender his position when his brakes started to fail.
Despite his brakes failure, Higton managed to finish in third place in the second race and was delighted with two podium positions in his first race fixture of the year.
