EAGLE Sports were held to a 0-0 draw at Styal on Saturday in their final game of the season as they continued their fight for second place in the Cheshire Football League Division One.

Eagle now sit in second place in the league needing defeat for Rudheath in their tie at Gamesley to secure the runners-up trophy.

Eagle Reserves ended their season with a 2-2 draw at home to Whaley Bridge in the Cheshire Football League Reverve Division.

The home side came flying out of the blocks early and took the lead via Andy Dawson, who doubled his side’s lead soon after with a chip over the Whaley goalkeeper to finish in style.

Whaley came back strong in the second half and Eagle’s defence could not hold out.
