FOLLOWING the exploits of younger athletes at Trafford, Warrington Athletics Club's older competitors shone at Leigh Sports Village on Sunday.
Competing in the Northern Veterans Championships were three athletes from Warrington, bringing home five golds and a silver medal between them.
In the womenメs over 50s, Julie Hicken took gold in the 400m with 75.4secs and ran a personal best time as a veteran in the 200m with 31.8secs to bag the silver.
In the menメs over 45s, Neal Petley took triple gold winning the 100m in 13.4secs, the high jump with 1.41m and long jump with 4.65m.
In the 3000m, over 65s Dave Tomkins scooped gold in a time of 12mins 41secs.
