LYMM Rugby Club’s junior colts half backs Mark Dixon and Alex Mitchell helped England Under 17s to end France’s five-match unbeaten run.
It is the first time in the club’s history that two Lymm players have appeared in an international fixture.
Mitchell started the game and was substituted at half time after creating the first England try with tricky open field running, before feeding in a teammate to score.
Dixon came on as a substitute after 10 minutes and played the rest of the game, giving a composed performance against a very good French side.
