WARRINGTON Wolves’ injury woes look set to ease in time for their Magic Weekend clash with St Helens.

Tony Smith is optimistic on the fitness of Ben Westwood and the joint-skipper could be in line for a return on Sunday after suffering a calf tear early in the campaign.

However, Wolves’ head of coaching and rugby will not rush the 32-year-old if he feels he is not ready.

Joel Monaghan was removed shortly after half time during the win against Catalan Dragons on Friday, having notched his 100th and 101st tries for the club.

The winger had been suffering with tightness in his quad and groin prior to the fixture, but Tony Smith says he expects the Australian to be fit for Sunday.

Stefan Ratchford made his return to the squad last Friday alongside Chris Bridge in the half backs and came through unscathed.

Richie Myler will face a fitness test ahead of the weekend with Smith confident the scrum half has made good progress following his shoulder injury.
