TONY Smith is looking for a ‘performance to be proud of’ regardless of the result against Catalan Dragons on Friday.

The Warrington Wolves head of coaching and rugby does, however, believe if his players put in the required performance in Super League Round 12 then the result will take care of itself.

“We never focus on the win it’s about our performance,” he said. “If we perform well and get the aspects of our game right we’ll get the result we are looking for.

“If you underperform in any parts of the game then there is the risk of the result not going your way.

“We need to put out a performance that we’re proud of and if that’s the case and you do everything you can and you get beat you’ve got to accept that.

“If your performance is below par it leaves you with a hollow feeling, win or lose.”
