Lymm 64
Wirral 6
LYMM came reserved their best performance of the season for the Junior Colts Cheshire Cup final.
Wirral had their game plan, keep it tight and attack the fringes and they executed it well throughout.
But Lymm's defence against it was magnificent, keeping metres gained to a minimum until the inevitable turnover came eventually.
Lymm played a 22 man squad game and every single one of them played to their potential. At times the rugby was breathtaking, with some of the tries coming from multiple phases and great teamwork and some from individual brilliance.
The scores were spread between the forwards and the backs, which was fitting as there wasn't the slightest difference in the standard of performance from any of the squad.
Tries from Johnstone, three, Leight, two, Dixon, two, Mansfield-Hickman, McCormack and Makin. Four conversions from Mitchell and three from Denman.
Lymm completed the Raging Bull A League season as champions with 14 straight victories and now add the Cheshire Cup.
