WOOLSTON remain unbeaten in their league. Tries were scored by player-of-the-match Callum Moore, three, Josh Bray, two, Callum Hinton, Hayden Isaac, and Kieran Cripps.

Culcheth Eagles u14 14 Wigan St Cuthberts u14 22

EAGLES put in a good performance against a tough Wigan outfit, with tries coming from Joshua Jones, two, and James Anderson.

Woolston Rovers Golds u12 48 New Springs Lions u12 40

WOOLSTON created numerous overlaps on the back of some strong driving runs from the forwards. Try scorers were Matty Nash, two, George Hickey, two, Morgan Bolton, Ben Sutcliffe, Gabe Twist, Ben Roberts.

Blackbrook u12 18 Latchford u12 14

LATCHFORD were unlucky to exit the North West Counties Plate after a last minute try won a pulsating cup tie game for Blackbrook. Latchford tries came from Jake Warburton, Lloyd Wright, and Jack Foulkes.

THE Woolston attack was the best of the season so far with the top tackler being Oliver Perrin and Bobby Geritas taking player of the match.

Shevington u9 0 Rylands Sharks u9 44

SHARKS proved far too strong for a spirited Shevington side. Player-of-the-match Max McGucken crossed for two tries, with coach’s award winner Jack Lewis, four, Sam Oakes, Ethan Yearsley, Jay-Jay Catterall, Harvey Braddish and Aaron Garmston adding the other scores.

Rylands White Sharks u9 8 Eccles u9 4

RYLANDS and Eccles played out a nip-and-tuck game, with the home side just coming out on top. Core skills winner Harvey Groarke and player-of-the-match Caiden Whelan scored the tries.

Leyland Warriors u9 0 Woolston Rovers u9 24

SOLID defensive work backed up by quick attacking, the Woolston team are coming together. Player of the match was Kyle Hickman, top tackler was Tay Nash, and coach’s award went to Dan Rowlands.

RYLANDS tries came from player-of-the-match Jamie Shallcross, two, Max Myers-Davies and Ciaran Card, with Thomas Ashurst clocking up 25 tackles.

WOOLSTON put on a fantastic display with excellent defence. Tries came from player-of-the-match Joe Hickey, two, Callum Eaves, Tom Allen, Loui Ashton, and Noah Quigley.

EAGLES secured a good win with some excellent defending and solid running making the difference. Try scorers were Jemima Dahou, two, Rhys Lawrence, two, Thomas Burrows and Mathew Smith.

RYLANDS came out on top in Sunday’s ‘derby’. Rylands’ try scorers were Fran O’Neill, two, Freddie Ball, Bobby Booth, Toby McGucken, and Oliver Garmston. Rovers’ touchdowns came from Ben Harrison, two, Alfie Leyland, and Luke Platt.

EAGLES put in a solid performance in attack and defence to beat Golborne with help from a special solo try by Alex Barrett.
