Tigers enjoy winning start
APPLETON Tigers got their season off to a winning start with a 38 run victory over Romiley.
Emma Barlow, 86, and Camille Wood with a career best of 41 not out put Appleton in command with a 141-run opening partnership, before Sami Fowler smashed 19 runs off 12 balls to set a total of 165 for 1.
Jess Lewis took two wickets and Nathalie Long bowled economically to keep Romiley behind the run rate.
Charlotte Cross took her first senior catch and wicket as Romiley finished on 127 for 5.
