WOOLSTON Rovers will be looking to bounce back from defeat to Crosfields when they travel to York on Saturday to take on Heworth in the Kingstone Press National Conference League Division Three.

Rovers were involved in a thrilling encounter against Crosfields and were perhaps a little unfortunate to get no spoils.

“Our performance against Crosfields was a 100 per cent improvement on the previous weeks and gives us plenty of confidence for the rest of the season,” said head coach Lee Westwood.

“The lads were obviously disappointed to have lost the ‘derby’ encounter but they realised that the work we have been doing in training is starting to fall into place and if we can continue in the same manner on Saturday then we will have a great chance of coming home with the two league points.

“We travel to Heworth who have had some impressive results so far, including a draw at Coventry which is never easy, so we will be going there knowing that we will be in for another tough game.”

The coach leaves Monks Sports Club at 10.00am and Seats can be booked via Nikki Whalley on 07889 170895.
