BANK Quay put an end to Hindpool’s 17-game unbeaten run to progress to the second round of the North West Men’s League Cup.

Tries came from Ste Bird and Ryan Brown with Ant Braide adding the extras and a last-minute penalty.

Culcheth Eagles 12 Leigh Miners A 22 A SECOND-HALF comeback was not enough to secure Eagles’ place in the next round of the North West Men’s League Trophy.

Tries from Damon Fishwick and Danny Martin, both converted by James Wilde, fell short against a good Leigh side.

Bridge held on after conceding late in the game to ensure progression to the next round.
