Lymm 25 Nuneaton 7

THE largest crowd of the season at Beechwood witnessed a huge win for Lymm in their National League Three Midlands relegation fight.

Cormac Nolan got the home side off the mark with a penalty conversion after six minutes, before two tries from Tom Baker and a conversion added by Nolan took them into a 15-0 lead.

Nuneaton got one back and looked like threatening a comeback until the trusty Nolan converted a penalty again.

A try from Dave Williamson with Nolan adding the extras rounded off a solid victory for Lymm.

“We chose to play on pitch one because the crowd are closer and the atmosphere was always going to be important today,” said Chris Kinsey, Lymm head coach.

“This is a young team and they are going to do well. I am delighted for all of them.”
