Personal bests tumble for Warrington athletes
IT was personal bests for three Warrington Athletics Club runners competing in the Sale Harriers Open Series indoor meeting on Sunday, March 23.
In the 300m under 17s, Carys McAulay won her race in 41.94secs, putting her in the top 20 in the UK and second in the Scottish rankings.
Julie Hicken finished third in her 300m race in 51.03secs; the fastest time this year by an over 50 woman.
In the 60m, Julie scooped another bronze in 9.57secs.
In the men’s 600m, under 20s Matt Wigelsworth finished fourth in a personal best time of 1min 24.64secs, the under 20s men’s 11th fastest time indoors this year.
