RICHMONDS A slipped eight points behind Warrington Snooker League Division One leaders Newton Social B, despite a 5-2 win at Irlam Catholic.

At the other end, breaks of 41 from Dave Newton and 31 from Gary Tatlock helped GTBL A escape the bottom three after beating Woolston A 6-1.

Roosters C beat Irlam Steelworks 4-3 as Alford D lost to Newton Social A, despite breaks of 41 from Gary Cooper and 30 from Mark Taylor, while Rylands A enjoyed a 5-2 victory over GESM A.

Bridgewater Club march on at the Division Two summit, winning 6-1 at Deaf Social A and securing an eight-point lead over Culcheth Sports B, who won 5-2 against Irish Club.

Monks A retained title hopes after a 6-1 win at Richmonds B, John Ettinger narrowly missing out on the highest break for the division after making 69.

Rylands B moved clear of the relegation places by beating Walkers B 6-1, helped by a 32 break from Ainsley Daniels. The 30 break from Paul Cowley Walkers’ only consolation.

Kings Club C moved joint top of Division Three after Les Corns made the division’s highest break of the season, 49, to beat Irlam Catholic B 6-1.

Kings Club A sit third after a 5-2 win over Deaf Social B, three points behind the top two.
