Crosfields A 24 Cadishead 14
SOAP marched into the next round of the NWML Shield with a well-fought win at Hood Lane.
Evergreen Phil Bannon scored the opening two tries both converted by Craig Lawton.
Cadishead managed to get one score in before half time to trail 12-4 at the break.
It was Cadishead who started the second half more brightly with the opening two scores to lead 12-14 going into the final quarter.
Soap found their second wind and tries from Jordan Morris and Lawton sealed the encounter with a further two conversions from Lawton.
Tom Caswell was named man-of-the-match again after his move to prop this season.
Lawton's kicking gave him a close second.
Soap are in action again at home next week, hosting Chester in the league, 2.30pm kick off.
