GESM A were unable to stop Division One leaders Newton Social B opening up a seven-point lead at the top as they went down 5-2, Steve Critchley having a 70 break and Danny Thomas a 34 break for the winners.
However, GTBL A came up trumps in their re-arranged when they won 4-3 against the leaders.
Walkers A went down 4-3 to Irlam Catholic A, who kept up their outside chance of honours, while breaks of 68 from Karl Taylor and 31 from Paul Oliver helped Irlam Steelworks beat GTBL A 4-3.
Bridgewater Club are strong favourites for Division Two after winning the re-arranged game with Alford B 6-1 and beating Walkers B by the same score, with Paul Nesbitt enjoying a 40 break and Andy Seymour a 34 break. Paul Cowley made a 30 break in his frame with Seymour.
Monks A sit second after beating Deaf Social A 5-2, but remain 10 points behind with Culcheth Sports B two further back after a 7-0 whitewash at GTBL B.
Penketh Cons A reclaimed top spot in Division Three after winning 7-0 at Woolston C, but Kings Club A kept the pressure on after they won 6-1 at Penketh Tavern B. St Josephs remain in the hunt after a 5-2 win at bottom club Kings Club B.
