LATCHFORD opened the North West Men’s League season with a convincing win.
Joe Clarke squeezed in for Latchford’s first. Jon Hill then scored from 30 metres out, fellow prop Damian Lyon barged over before debutant David Yii dummied over and converted twice.
Full back Middlemore crossed after the break, Yii converting, followed by Craig Woolvine and Middlemore’s second.
Kyle Sherratt added another, Dobson converting. Middlemore then raced in for his hat trick.
Latchford host their first fixture at the Victoria Park Arena on Saturday, kick off 2.30pm, when Oldham St Annes visit.
It will be the first time Albion have featured on the pitch inside the athletics track and all are welcome to attend for this historic occasion.
