MOORE edged a high-scoring encounter at Moss Lane, ending worries they might be relegated.

The teams exchanged penalties, Johnston striking with the boot for the hosts, before defensive lapses allowed the visitors from Isle of Man to establish a lead.

Moore’s task was made harder when captain Fleming was sent off following a fracas at a scrum, but they stuck to it.

Strong running from Brad Atherton along with dogged work at the breakdown by hooker Will McMullen made the difference.

A classy try for returning Ste Taylor kick-started a comeback before star turn Dave Dixon, twice, Joe Pidgeon and stand-in skipper Max Holland touched down to turn around the result.

The Warrington outfit now makes the return trip to the island this weekend when they are due to take on Vagabonds.

Photographer Mike Boden captured Saturday's action.
