LYMM took control with two goal early goals, firstly from Megan Wilkin after Ash Jackson’s driving run and then an own-goal.

Lymm failed to capitalise on the advantage and Winnington fought back into the game with a flick and two more goals in open play to take a 3-2 lead.

Having looked dangerous every time they attacked, the hosts immediately hit back with an equaliser via captain Lisa Hartley-Woodrow.

Goals from Nat Riley and Hollie Acklam settled the game.

Sitting nine points clear with three games remaining, Lymm are almost certain of gaining automatic promotion to North Hockey's second tier feeder league and the Division One title.

Celebrations were muted though as a national quarter-final away at Eastbourne and regional semi final versus Bowdon draw near.
