Warrington u19 21 Altrincham Kersal u19 11
WARRINGTON’S senior colts secured the Raging Bull league title thanks to Saturday’s win and Preston Grasshoppers’ loss to Chester.
Kersal made life difficult for them as they turned round 0-0.
Early in the second half Warrington started to turn up the gas, possession and pace.
A strong break from Jack Gray resulted in the first points going on the board.
Kersal hit back with a penalty before Rory Booth blasted over for try number two.
The home side showed some steel and scored from a five-metre lineout.
With the clock running down Warrington finally managed to put some phases together to release Cam Lewis on a great line up the middle to go between the sticks.
Although Warrington’s league campaign is finished, they still have a Lancashire Cup semi final to play on a date yet to be announced.
