A WARRINGTON water polo player enjoyed a productive start to the 2014 campaign with a bronze medal finish at the inter-regional under 15s championships.
Emily Bowater, from Warrington Swimming and Water Polo Club, was part of the North West’s Lightening team who finished third at the championships in Walsall.
Emily’s coach Chris Byrne said: “Emily has come a long way since she started playing two years ago, she has a great attitude to training and really enjoys her water polo.”
In the group, North West enjoyed convincing wins over East Midlands, South West, Scotland and Ireland, before being beaten 4-2 by eventual winners North East in the semi final.
In the bronze medal play off match, North West beat South West 4-3.
