Lymm Ladies 4 Bowdon Ladies 4th 1
LYMM recovered from a slow start to score four times at home to Bowdon Ladies on Saturday.
Lymm’s first meaningful attack almost brought a goal for Megan Wilkin but finally a breakthrough came at a penalty corner when Hollie Acklam deflected in.
A second goal for Acklam reflected Lymm’s attacking threat, before Nat Riley finished off a well worked passage of two touch passes with a strong shot past the keeper.
Bowdon scored a well-taken deflection late on but Lymm were able to close the game out with a fourth from Wilkin.
This weekend Lymm enjoy a cup day out as both the women's first and second teams travel away to face Nuneaton’s first and second sides in the England Hockey cup competitions.
