WARRINGTON Hockey Club women's second team recorded their biggest win yet with a 5-1 thrashing of Alderley Edge's sixth string.

In an outstanding team performance, Jess Palmer scored twice and Becky Miller, Lydia Turton and Emma Frew all found the back of the net.

The women's first team lost a close encounter with Golborne despite having chances to win.

Steph Rawlins and Louise Sullivan worked hard in midfield but could not prevent the 1-0 defeat.

The men's first team beat Didsbury Northern's fifth team 3-1.

Ben Vickers scored twice and captain Tom Yates got the other.

Warrington sit third in the league but have games in hand over the leaders.
