LYMM’S seconds were unable to register a point as they went down to a single Caldy try in the North West Intermediate League on Saturday.
In the opening quarter hour, the hosts managed to keep the ball in hand while they tested a resolute Lymm defence.
A speculative kick dropped into their winger’s hands for the only try of the game, followed by a penalty, to give the hosts victory.
The seconds thanked fourth team captain Martin Henderson, who stepped in at scrum half shortly before kick off.
