WARRINGTON Campus women’s netball team ended their season with a remarkable 25-12 victory over Glywndr – their first victory in more than three years, writes Ashley Thornton-Jones.
The side had gone an amazing 23 games without victory prior to Wednesday’s fixture, and the result means it is the Welsh side and not Warrington that end the season at the bottom of the table.
Elsewhere, the men’s football first team had their slim title-chances ended after a 2-0 defeat at second-placed Lancaster.
The second team drew 1-1 with UCFB Burnley, keeping them within three points of leaders Chester with four games left.
