LYMM opened a nine-point lead at the top of the Cheshire Women’s Hockley League table with a 3-0 victory at Chester.
Chester’s defence held firm to keep things level at the break, but after the interval interplay between Jo Hartley, Alex Pepper and Meg Wilkin ended with a Chester foot stopping the ball on the line. Nat Riley scored from the spot.
Keeper Amy Heywood was called into action twice, but Lymm consolidated their lead when Lisa Hartley-Woodrow fired in a penalty corner.
Nat Riley wrapped things up when she slipped a near-post finish past the keeper.
Player of the game was midfielder Alex Pepper.
