SIX years since Latchford last fielded an under 18s team, they took to the pitch for a pre-season friendly against Bank Quay.

Latchford came away with the victory and opened the scoring when Jamie Birchall crossed following good work by the forwards, with Sam Dobson converting.

The home side hit back when Reece Barry scored near the posts, Matty Hesketh goaling.

On the stroke of half time a Dobson break was finished off by Conor Byron to hand the visitors a slender lead.

With both teams rotating players the second half went Latchford’s way as Kyle Ogden scored, with Dobson converting to seal the victory.

Best for Albion were Luke Gorry, Ryan Skidmore and Sam Dobson.

The under 18s train Tuesdays and Thursdays at Victoria Park ahead of the new season and new players are welcome.
