Lomax 0
Rainhill Town Reserves 2
RAINHILLTown’s Reserves earned a hard-fought three points away to Lomax in the Warrington District League.
After a scrappy first half, with few goal scoring chances for either side, the teams turned round at 0-0.
With the strong wind at their backs Rainhill gained the ascendency scoring two goals mid way through the second half.
Morris was the first to break the duck, and the second a clever back header by Gibson from a left wing cross.
Lomax missed a chance to get back in the game when Scott Bennett missed a late penalty.
