DIVISION One leaders Richmonds A beat Penketh Cons B 5-2 but still had their lead cut to one point after Newton Social B dented the hopes of Roosters C.
Newton beat them 7-0 thanks partly to Wayne Brown making a break of 64, supported by Stuart Rawlinson and Ian Bryce’s breaks of 35 and 31.
Third place now belongs to Irlam Catholic A after their 6-1 win over Alford D, while at the other end of the table Paul Dean’s 33 break was not enough as Rylands A beat GTBL A 5-2 to try and escape the relegation places.
Bridgewater Club lead Division Two on matches won after they defeated hosts Irish Club 6-1, with second-place GESM C beating Deaf Social A by the same scoreline.
At the bottom of the table there was a rare victory for GTBL B, who might still avoid relegation after they had a 4-3 win over Rylands B.
It is as you were at the top of Division Three, with Kings Club C winning 7-0 at Deaf Social B and second-place Penketh Cons A beating Woolston B also 7-0.
St Josephs are still in with a chance of honours after they had a 4-3 win over Roosters D.
