WARRINGTON Guardian-sponsored dancers Mike Manning and Annabell Harman competed in the City of Manchester Festival at Stockport at the weekend.
“The ballroom is very ornate and beautiful,” said Michael. “We felt we danced well and were delighted with our results.”
The under 35s pre-amateur consists of three ballroom and Latin styles. In the waltz, foxtrot and quickstep the pair placed first and in the rumba, samba and jive they came second.
They also competed in under 21s youth sections, dancing ballroom and five Latin styles which includes tango and Viennese waltz, cha cha cha and paso doble.
The pair placed fifth in ballroom and fourth in Latin, and are back in training next week ahead of a competition in Birmingham in February.
