Warrington 2nd 41 Preston Grasshoppers 3rd 13
WARRINGTON’S seconds ran in seven tries to beat Preston Grasshoppers on Saturday.
Matt Rockey opened the scoring, before Dee Mann touched down for a second.
Preston replied with a converted try, but Rockey’s second gave the hosts a 10-point half time lead.
Preston then kicked a penalty after, before Kev Jones danced through from 20 yards and Andy Almond exploited a gap for a converted try.
Rockey completed his hattrick and Phil Lynch’s solo effort gave Almond an easy conversion.
“Another excellent team effort,” said skipper Almond. “With special mention for Jack Reid, Matt Rockey and scrum half Matt Dawson.”
