Lymm 12 South Leicester 17

LYMM were undone by a South Leicester side making their first ever visit to Crouchley Lane on Saturday.

Lymm made minor changes to the side who won at Scunthorpe, a new second row partnership of Steve Williams and McCormack allowed Sion Williams and Yates to drop into the back row while Adam Bray assumed the position of hooker.

Lymm enjoyed the best of the first 25 minutes, both in terms of possession and territory, to take an early 6-3 lead.

However, South kicked deep into Lymm territory and built on this momentum to eventually force Widdrington into the sin bin and a penalty try.

Cormac Nolan added a penalty after the break, but on 63 minutes the visitors effectively sealed the fixture with a kick into the arms of their unmarked winger.

A further Nolan penalty brought Lymm within a score six minutes later, but Baker’s break in the final few minutes was cut short.
