WARRINGTON Snooker League Division Two leaders Culcheth Sports B extended their lead to four points with a 4-3 win against Rylands B.
Second place GESM C lost the ‘derby’ game against GESM B 5-2 and third place Walkers B were also losing against Richmonds B by the same score.
Kings Club C are top of Division Three and lead by five points after beating Roosters D 6-1 with Penketh Cons moving into second place after they also had a 6-1 win over Kings Club A which dropped them into third.
St.Josephs are in fourth after beating Penketh Tavern B 5-2 and also have played one game less than the top three.
Irlam Steelworks are still in the relegation places but inflicted a third successive defeat on Division One leaders Newton Social B, winning 4-3 with James Short having a 38 break for Irlam and player of the year Danny Thomas replying with a 35 break for Newton.
Irlam Catholic A jumped from fifth to second after they beat GTBL A 7-0 with Richmonds A dropping to third after they lost 4-3 at Walkers A.
The highest break of the night came at Rylands A where Mike Jordan had a 50 break in helping his relegation threatened team to a 5-2 win over Newton Social A.
On the competirtion scene, Andy Seymour had a 52 break in winning his rearranged match in the Individual Handicap.
