ONE of Warrington’s largest clubs, Appleton Cricket Club, are on the lookout for new members to join their flourishing teams.

Appleton run four men’s teams, a champion women’s team and a host of junior sides, with the club also kick-starting its first under nines team for the 2014 junior programme.

Ahead of the forthcoming season the club will appoint its first head coach, who will be focused on coaching individual players who want to transfer from another club, take up the sport or even get back into the game after a hiatus.

Appleton’s winter nets run at Bridgewater High School sports hall on Hall Drive, Appleton, on Tuesdays from this week.

Junior coaching takes place from 7pm to 8.15pm, one-to-one coaching from 8.15pm to 8.45pm and senior coaching from 8.45pm to 10pm.
